Every quarter, Galerin will open a themed call to every artist on the platform — one piece each, no portfolio review at the door. A room of collectors votes once, anonymously, and the work that leads the quarter is simply the one people held onto. The first call hasn't run yet.

The doors open
Every quarter begins with one prompt — a single word or phrase to work against. A countdown runs first, so the room gathers before the call goes live. Join it and you’ll know the moment submissions open.

One work, one note
Submissions run for a week. Every artist enters a single piece and a few sentences on what the prompt meant to them — the note hangs beside the work. The moment a piece is entered, it’s held out of the public gallery, so nothing gets a head start before the vote.

The room decides
When submissions close, every member sees the entries side by side — the work and the artist’s words, nothing else. One vote each, cast anonymously. No running tallies, no leaderboards mid-flight. The room speaks once.

One leads the quarter
The most-held work releases as a limited, numbered edition print, and the artist takes a bonus on every sale on top of their standard share. Only then — once voting is over — does the winning piece return to the gallery with a discovery boost for the rest of the season.

Why it matters
Merit and attention, not gatekeeping.
Most open calls charge an entry fee and route the decision through a small panel before a piece is ever seen widely. Art Opens runs the other way: any artist on the platform can enter, and the only judge is the room of people who'd actually live with the work.
That's the same principle behind the discovery feed — genuine attention decides what surfaces, not a placement fee. Art Opens just puts a name and a quarter around it.
