# Art Opens

Art Opens is coming soon; the first call has not run yet. Every quarter Galerin
will open a themed call to every artist on the platform — one piece each, with
no portfolio review at the door. A room of collectors votes
once, anonymously, and the work that leads the quarter is the one people held
onto.

## The four stages

1. **The doors open.** Each quarter begins with a single prompt — one word or
   phrase to work against. A countdown runs first so the room gathers before
   submissions go live.
2. **One work, one note.** Submissions run for a week. Every artist enters a
   single piece plus a few sentences on what the prompt meant to them; the note
   hangs beside the work. An entered piece is held out of the public gallery so
   nothing gets a head start.
3. **The vote.** Collectors vote once, anonymously, over 48 hours.
4. **The result.** The leading work takes the quarter and a discovery boost that
   lands only after voting closes.

## What keeps the vote honest

- Entry is open to any artist on the platform, with no entry fee and no panel
  screening submissions first.
- Entries stay out of the public gallery while a call is running.
- Votes are anonymous, and no running tally is shown mid-flight.
- The discovery boost applies only once voting has closed.

This is the same principle behind the main discovery feed, where genuine
attention decides what surfaces. Art Opens puts a name and a quarter around it.
